Our coating system

Selemix 7-530 2K polyurethane

A professional coating, used where it suits the surface.

Where it is suitable for the job and the substrate, we use Selemix 7-530, a two-component polyurethane direct topcoat from PPG. It is a low-gloss coating, roughly 10% gloss, designed for professional industrial finishing.

PPG’s technical information describes a high-solids formula, several spray application options and adhesion to a range of properly prepared substrates.

The coating is mixed with a compatible hardener to form the finished film. Correct mixing, preparation and application are essential if it is to perform as intended.

Why we use it

Six reasons it earns its place.

  • Low-gloss finish

A subtle, low-sheen look for anyone who prefers a less reflective finish.

  • 2K polyurethane

Forms a performance coating when correctly mixed and cured.

  • Flexible application

Can be applied by conventional or air-assisted airless spraying, as the manufacturer specifies.

  • Efficient

As a direct topcoat, it can remove the need for a separate primer on certain approved substrates.

  • Versatile

Suits a range of industrial substrates when the preparation and compatibility conditions are met.

  • Even appearance

Professional application gives an even colour and a uniform finish on suitable surfaces.

We choose the exact system for each job based on the substrate, the existing finish, the exposure and the manufacturer’s guidance.
